Toon Wars

The Official Star Wars Magazine started this contest in cooperation with toonsUp.com. The best contributions were presented to the universe in number #52 and #53 of the Official Star Wars Magazine.

If Darth Vader outs himself as Luke's mother, a lightsaber is misused as an immersion heater or the question is settled why the Rancor can't sleep without its teddy bear, the Midi-chlorians increase at the percipient automatically and the colorful side of the Force shakes the universe. The true life of our heroes and their opponents doesn't reveal itself on the big screen, but in small snapshots which a handful of brave space paparazzi make using all their mind and present to the clueless public after that. Here on Terra they disguise themselves as cartoonists, since Sith as well as Jedi are chasing them. The colorful side of the Force, dangerous it is!

A jury of wise Toon Masters will choose the most hair-raising art and present to the universe in number #52 of the Official Star Wars Magazine. The three most popular Star Wars toons will also be elected and awarded there. The prizes will be three times a JEDI-CON 2008 Toon shirts, a caricature of you by one of the toonsUp drawers and a OSWFC club subscription for each winner!

How do I participate?
* Create a Star Wars cartoon (or select one from your pool of work).
Join toonsUp and upload your cartoon(s).
* Mail your cartoon(s) including your name in a 300dpi resolution (a width of at least 1000 pixels), email below
* We collect your cartoons and give them to the German Official Star Wars Magazine and Lucasfilm Ltd..
* We inform you about your published cartoons and you'll get a copy of the magazine.
