toonsUp has started a colaboration with German-language street newspapers. We are offering to street papers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to publish cartoons and short comics by toonsUp artists under the motto "Cartoons Against the Cold".
The cartoons for the campaign should bear reference to socio-critical or political topics (such as unemployment, family policy, social observations and so on).
toonsUp supplies cartoons and comics to these papers at no charge. By taking part you are not only presenting your art to a wider audience, you are also supporting very important social projects!
About street newspapers: These are usually regional papers. They support homeless and other needy people. These papers are sold on the street, usually by homeless people or people on welfare that use the income to improve their living conditions.

ToonsUp is happy to announce that we are starting a colaboration with German-language street newspapers. We are offering to street papers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to publish cartoons and short comics by ToonsUp artists under the motto "Cartoons Against the Cold".
Every artist on ToonsUp can submit their works for this, with the editorial staff of the street papers selecting which cartoons to print. The cartoons for the campaign should bear reference to socio-critical or political topics (such as unemployment, family policy, social observations and so on). Newly created art is as welcome as something from your pool of work!

The first street paper to take part is "Bodo", which is published in Bochum and Dortmund / Germany. We are also in talks with street papers in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, which should follow shortly. "Bodo" is going to report about the collaboration with ToonsUp in its June issue, which means anyone wanting to be in that issue should state their interest in the next days!
We are very much looking forward to your contributions! To take part, please publish your work on ToonsUp (if you haven't done that already) and also mail it in a 300dpi resolution to volker@toonsup.com
May the Force be with you all ^.-
