Und noch ein Beitrag mit Bezug zum irischen Musikinstrumentarium. Gesucht ist heute die Bodhrán, eine vielseitige Handtrommel, mit der man sehr lustige Klangeffekte erzielen kann.

Many people might say that's the best use for a bodhrán.

In the wrong hands, it's a deadly weapon. I speak as one who has attended many a seisiún where the bodhrán player needed to be restrained with a strait jacket - those extended jazz-style solos can be a tad wearisome.

In the right hands, of course, it is a thing of beauty and a joy to hear.
