Das Thema ist wunderbar im Stil des alten Meisters präsentiert: Da stolpert so ein Kerl über das dilettante Hauptstromkabel und gleich ist die ganze protzende Pracht apokalyptisch hin

So what - it's funny and well drawn. Everything has been said, everything has been drawn. If you're able to steal instead of just plagiarize, you're an artist. I recommend the book "Steal like an artist" by Austin Kleon.

Ok, now I think it seems really close to "Mr. Natural" by Crumb.
He looks quite like a blend of a very de-sexualized, cute Mr. Natural and the
old man / narrator from the series "Once upon a time ... Life" (Es war einmal das Leben).

I mean, it's hard to start anything new nowadays, because you would think that everything has already been done. But then again, is that really making originality impossible? I wouldn't say so.
