Thanks for that, Mike. I am now (relatively) enlightened. Fact is, the picture is good enough to carry the general sense of the gag. It's nice to get the inside track on the joke, but it's genuinely funny without the details.

I've had the same experience with Bloom County, Doonesbury, and a lot of good political cartoons. You don't have to know all the details to get a sense of what the gag is if the art is good enough.doubletop.gif

The Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks are playing for the Stanley Cup.
"Luongo" and the Sedin twins are players for Vancouver. I'm a Bruin fan. The waiter is Martin St Louis, a player for the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team Boston just eliminated from the playoffs. Thank you for the comment.
