Pratchett's Witches Sketches

Just re-read Terry Pratchett's "Witches Abroad", and felt an urge to try to create their faces. Damn Paul Kidby - even though I was drawing completely from my imagination, I still found myself turning out Kidby-esque images. He's either completely infiltrated my imagination, or he has nailed Pratchett's characters so well that there's just no avoiding him.

The second page is a five minute doodle in biro - again trying to escape the strictures of Kidby. I reckon Uderzo would be a great illustrator for these tales.

Thanks, Matthias. I reckon the quick sketch I threw in is more individual to me, but it's fun mucking about with these characters. I really do feel that Albert Uderzo would be the ideal artist for Nanny Ogg... smile.gif

Well, Esme is verrrrry Kidby-like, but your Nanny Ogg and Magrat are purely des-igned! I like the look of Margrat!
