Mustrum and Esme

I recently re-read Terry Pratchett's Lords and Ladies. I couldn't resist the temptation to try to sketch the younger and older versions of Esmeralda Weatherwax and Mustrum Ridcully. It's rough, but I'm happy enough with it.

Nightwatch stories are great - but then, I think all Pratchett's stories are great in different ways. But I do like the pulp detective / police procedural / keystone cops vibe that the Watch stories manage to deliver.

Saw your Guards Guards picture just now. As I said there - absolutely excellent! My compliments, DasJoerg. If Kidby wasn't already doing such a damn fine job, I would say you should be painting Pratchett's covers.excellent.gif

If you're interested, I have some more Pratchett sketches in this gallery. Let me know what you think.smile.gif

Yup! Read it, and loved it. It's a better book than Unseen Academicals - more cohesive, better edited - a worthy sequel to Thud and Nightwatch. Really enjoyed it.smile.gif

I spottet Terry Pratchett's new book today at Trafalgar Square - and happened to have forgotten my credit card at the hotel... exhausted.gif Have you already read 'Snuff'?
