This cartoon is from personal experience. When I was sixteen, I stayed with friends in Austria for a few weeks. We were planning on attending the great ball at the Vienna Opera so my hosts bought me a dirndl. I put it on and refused to leave my room. Boy, was I stupid.

I was sixteen and I wanted to look grown up. What did I know? I still have the dirndl, and I would wear it if it still fit :)
