Detritus

Quiet hour in a coffee shop waiting for my daughters to come back from spending all my money - I had a run at drawing Detritus from Pratchett's Watch stories. He's described as very rocky and very large.

...well, I had a go at it anyway...

Even as I type, I'm brewing my own personal cup of coffee in my own personal kitchen. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the comment, Crowbar. Detritus is a heavy dude. I'm glad if it comes across.

Thanks Tommes, that means a lot.

It's difficult to come up with a personal and unique image of Pratchett's characters because Paul Kidby has done such a great job of interpreting the work already. unhappy.gif But I keep reading the books, and it's impossible not to try to draw the stories - they are written to be drawn! I think something in the style of the Asterix books would be great for the Discworld - those are the kind of pictures I envisage when it comes to Nanny Ogg or Rincewind.biggrin.gif
