Silver Shoon - penultimate draft

When I read this story, something in it just engaged my interest. I decided to see how it might look as a short graphic piece, and started drawing it. I gave the first page to my daughter as a birthday present, then the second page as a Christmas gift, and so on.

She turned 21 this year, and I decided to put the whole thing together, Otherwise, it could have been another 10 years before it got finished.

This is the tentative final draft, but if anyone has any feedback to offer I would welcome it before I present the finished version.

Thanks SeplundPetra. It's good to get feedback from both you and miro2. Much appreciated.

Sometimes you don't need every picture if you want the reader to create an own illusion - like miro2 said.
But I like pictures. A children's book without pictures is not as funny as it is with the pictures. They are like a good family or friends - they belong together (sing.gif together everyday...sing.gif )

And you said this is a story written by your daughter and you share your pictures it created in your brain. They fit together in a very good way. Especially for me it is a very good help to understand everything - my first language is German. I am not very good in speaking English - maybe I was in school, but I haven't used English for many years...

top.gif Thank you.

Rather unnecessary in my opinion. I´d try to shorten that pictures down into the text.
It depends on how you ´re looking at it. In film or theatre you usually do a discarding version of old/first stuff, that is what I would do.
So, pics should give the opportunity to use your own illusion, as every story should.
By the way, film is working on a storyboard which is like a cartoon in the first step. wink.gif

Thanks, Miro. The feedback is appreciated. Are you saying page 6 is unnecessary, or not as strong as it could be?

Well, trying to feel the story it is pretty heartbreaking.
Don´t need pages like no. 6 for that, preferring no. 13, where the eyes give an extrasight.
I would try to shorten that down in pictures; text is good as it is now.
