I like this self-portrait very much. The avatar you see beside this Text is a selfportrait of myself (but people say, it doesn´t look like me....) I didn´t know, that one can post paintings also in this forum.excellent.giftop.gif

Thanks Si. But I think what Jan said is right - it's probably unfair of me to post these pictures on a forum that invites comment and criticism, under the circumstances. I have already posted these on my Facebook page as a tribute, and that's probably sufficient. It's self-indulgent for me to put them in an open and fun-centered site like this - and it's possibly confusing for anyone who doesn't understand English very well. I'll post any more of these pics - as and when I scan them - on the Facebook site.

I appreciate that Jan. I'm probably wrong to put this work here, but I really just want to show it to people - and any comments or criticisms are sincerely welcome. He was never self-important or precious about the work, and always took any criticisms as well-intended and useful guidelines.

It's pretty difficult to leave a comment to this painting (and to your brother's artwork in general) because it's so sad that he died.
