Heroes Assemble Revisited

Even though my younger brother, Kieran, passed away in 1997 aged 33, there isn't a day goes by that I don't remember him. Today, though, I really wish he could be here as I'm using the easel he built himself to paint the Avengers. When we were kids, the Marvel superheroes were a huge part of our lives and I know he'd have loved to see his easel being used for this purpose. Believe it or not, this is pretty much the first time I've actually used the easel properly.

smile.gif...think you might be right. I had a prelim sketch done, and it is kinda overloaded....

Thanks.

Uhm... I wouldn't do that, Des. Don't make it look overloaded. Nick Fury is worth his own painting.
I'm not so much into that superhero stuff, but these are my 2 cents.

Yäh, FF. Jack Kirby was my hero too...

Thanks, Karsten. Much appreciated. I'm not really much good at the superhero genre, and group pictures are out of my comfort zone, but this was fun to paint. I'm just curious to see what the customer thinks of it.

...Also, I'm still considering adding Nick Fury / Samuel L. Jackson into the top right corner using a jet pack... ?

Opinions please.

Great work, Des! I'm sure your brother would be proud not only that you used the easel but because of the result, too.
