HAAAAPPY HAAALLOWEEEEEEN
We didn't paint the window this year - they're all too grown-up. :(
This was last year's effort.

For all window painting, I use 500ml pots of ordinary emulsion paint - water based and easy to clean off afterwards, and also reasonably cheap. I paint straight onto the glass - black, indigo, or purple paint with a crappy old thin brush I've had for years, then add colour with a few larger brushes. The outline work dries really fast in most indoor environments - condensation is a real problem in older houses and premises, and I try to avoid painting onto windows with that problem.
The main thing to remember with windows is that you're painting on the inside of the glass, but they will mostly be seen from the outside. That means that whatever goes on the glass first will be seen first from the other side - you can't overpaint a mistake. Also, of course, all images are reversed - but that's only an issue if right or left is important, or with writing, of course.
I try to paint so as they can be viewed from inside or outside, but when words are included, I have to decide which side is the more important side and paint accordingly.
