Collision course

I always wanted to do one of those big monster-type confrontation pictures. Sat down yesterday evening to draw another gimp boy cartoon and this came out. My subconscious occasionally takes over.

I'm having a lot of fun with that black marker.

These guys are very cathartic images for those of us who are mild-mannered and quiet. Got me through a lot of dreary days in my former employment imagining what one or both of them could do to management if only... :) ;)

I try to work from imagination unless I have a very specific portrait to do. Most of my work emerges from pencil scribbles and random doodling - never quite sure what's going to happen until I'm finished. Sometimes, I sketch left-handed to try to find a new look or angle. Planning and intention don't really come into it.
