A Long Night with a Sketchbook

Thanks for the comments. The idea was just to do as many sketches as possible, so I wasn't aiming at portraits. Well spotted on Freddy Mercury, Tommes. Also in there is William H.Macy, Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie, David Jason, Eric Cantona, and Christopher Lee, along with a bunch of random faces from newspaper photos. NOT portraits, just sketches, so the likenesses are only faint.

I just aim to put line on paper, whether it's male, female, animal, mineral, or vegetable. Not thinking too much and just letting the eyes talk to the hand without letting the brain get in the way is the trick. All subjects are equally interesting in that sense, and, as an artist, you have to treat them as such. Not that I consider myself an artist, but I have faint aspirations in that direction.
