@ Ron, Byrdylicious, Liddlbuddha : Many thanks for the kind words. It was fun putting it together. As I said, it was all sketched out in coffee shops over the Christmas (many thanks to MacDonalds in Cork and the Asda Café in Enniskillen). I have a sheaf of sketches in my bag as a result. The slow part was scanning them in and editing the whole lot.

It was worth it, though.

Superb! Even though I've been covered in snow...

Especially the panel where the snowmen throw their snow balls is really great! And the epiloge is great, too. Can't think of anyone topping this snow fight tale!

Love it - top story!

*Applause* for this work !

@ JoRein : Thanks, dude. Much appreciated.

@ Kringe : Merci beaucoup. You should know that the Riverdancer is always ready to spring into action - a bit like Superman with the costume under the shirt.

The Man with Hat, a member of the North Pole Connection? I knew it! But there are frosty winds in the winter's sky above, and obviously he doesn't wear warm underwear ...

Great work, Des! I love the arrangement of panels, the usage of black, grey and white ... plenty of atmosphere there in your Opus.

Chapeau!!!

Wow! This is the most intensive snowball fight I have EVER seen

Kringe - 19.01.11 09:11
It's getting really fantastic!! Pure action, movie-like shots and angles! Wow! The snow clones remind me of the snow goons from Calvin & Hobbes ...

Hey, Jan, if we're talking Star Wars, we can call this tale "The Riverdancer strikes Back".

Still about four pages left in this. Keep watching.

Ouch! *

The crowd of smiling snowmen is just excellent!

* Though we shouldn't be that much surprised - it's pretty much the same situation as in Star Wars, Han Solo and Chewie chasing the stormtroopers who end up firing back...

Definitely, its pretty cool and I'm looking forward for the next pages =)

des - 15.01.11 23:06
@ Java: That's "next pages"... There's still a few to go. Sorry it's taking so long - the sketches are all done, but I'm just finding it hard to get around to putting it all together. But it WILL be worth it, I think.

Gmbflbmp!!! This will do you misery! (German saying, literally translated, meaning that you will regret that move)

Looking forward to the next page

Snowballs from Dry Ice?

Two weeks after? There might be something rotten in it ...

Oh, this comic already IS interesting!
What is the Yuletide piper going to do? Or what's Santa up to?

And of course I like the picture of my humble self sleeping in the bed (thank you for taking the pencils out of my mouth!)

Kringe - 12.01.11 09:22
HAHAHA! I love it! The words are tremendously well forged, the sketches are filigrane like a spider's web, covered with the thaw of sweetest dreams. Ha! The Piper at the gates of dawn sent them to sleep forever (HAHAHAHA!!!)

Love the details! Rons crayons in the glass, Jan's sweetest dreams ... and the silhouettes, look at the silhouettes!!!
