Wunderbare Mimik, aber vor allem die Wand hat es mir angetan. Wunderbar, mit was für beweglichen Strichen ein fester Hintergrund geschaffen werden kann, mit zwei "dick aufgetragenen" Farben Details aufgezeigt werden können.
Ich kann mich an die Wende zwar nicht erinnern, doch weiß ich, dass ich 1989 vier oder fünf Monate vor dem Mauerfall mit meiner Mutter, Geschwistern und Großeltern vor der noch intakten Mauer stand. Wir besuchten meine Großeltern, die wenige Jahre zuvor nach Berlin gezogen waren. Ein Foto hält die Erinnerung wach.

Ich war grad in der zweiten Klasse und wir haben ein großes Fest zur Wiedervereinigung 1990 gefeiert und uns alle in die Sporthalle gequetscht. Das geilste war für mich aber, dass wir plötzlich mitten im Jahr Raketen und so mit Vaddern im Garten abfeuern durften. Das war für mich damals echt das beste an der Wiedervereinigung. Den Rest hab ich ja erst später kapiert...

Weiß noch, wie ich 89 die Meldung per Radio mitbekam. Ne Woche später dann in München gewesen, noch zu DDR-Zeiten also.
Das erste, was mir auffiel, war die Sauberkeit des Bahnhofs, der parfümähnliche Grundgeruch und die geschminkten Frauen. In der Zone waren die Frauen nur zu besonderen Anlässen angemalt, hier schien mir das Alltag zu sein.

Schabowski wurde schließlich zum Kommunismus-Kritiker par excellence. War nicht ganz glaubwürdig. Zumal er trotzdem in Revision gegen sein Urteil für den Schießbefehl an der Mauer ging. Man weiß sowas ja aus dem Geschichtsunterricht, aber als eine der Nach-DDR-Generationen wurde mir der Schrecken des geteilten Deutschlands erst bei meinem kurzen Städtetrip in Berlin richtig bewusst.
