ToonsUp-Contest 2007: The Winners

We are very impressed with your many contributions to ToonsUp and would like to say Thank You!
We thought long and hard what we could do for you.
And the answer is: money!
As a comic artist, money is the one thing you always need ;-)

So we decided to reward you, the first artists on the ToonsUp platform, with a competition with some prize money.

These are the rules:

• The artist with the highest ratings on his artworks (best cartoons, best comics and other art) will receive 100 € prize money.
• The second and third places will receive 50 € each.
• Voting ends on February 15th 2008, midnight CET.
• For each artist, the 5 top rated comics will be used to calculate his points. Of all votes for these five comics, the average will be calculated. (All votes will be added as if they were given for one comic).
• Only comics with an adequate amount of votes will be taken into consideration. To be counted, at least 5 people must have voted for a comic.
• Voting for your own artworks are not allowed.
• SPAM votes will be deleted.
• The ToonsUp team (Ron, Rikki and Made) is not taking part in the competition.
• The prize money will be payed via bank transer or paypal.

We are really excited and very curious who will take the lead in mid-February!

For the time being, this competition will be a one-time promotion. As we are a non-commercial website, the prize money comes from our own pockets. We happily do this as the ToonsUp community is close to our hearts. But we can not do this too often ;-)
